M: Did you see the announcement about the new policy? I think it's a great idea! W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, I understand the community aspect, but it feels too restrictive. M: But think about it—living on campus helps freshmen connect with each other and participate in campus activities. They won't feel isolated. W: That's true, but many freshmen have jobs or family commitments off campus. Forcing them to live in dorms could be a financial burden. The dorms are more expensive than some off-campus options. M: I see your point, but the university is also offering more meal plans and study spaces, which saves money in the long run. Plus, it'll free up apartments for upperclassmen who really need them. W: I still think it limits student choice. Not everyone benefits from dorm life.
