Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week. Starting Monday, the university library will be open 24 hours a day through the end of finals week. This change is intended to provide students with more flexible study options. To accommodate this, the library will hire additional student staff to manage overnight shifts. Students are reminded to bring their ID cards for entry after 10 PM.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library being open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. I always struggle to find a quiet place to study late at night, especially when my roommates are noisy. W: I agree, but hiring extra staff seems like a waste of money. Couldn't they just use the current staff or a security guard? M: Well, with more students using the library at odd hours, they need people to help with checking out books and answering questions. Plus, it's safer to have trained staff around. W: I guess that makes sense. I just hope they don't cut other services to pay for it. M: The announcement says they're hiring student staff, which gives more job opportunities on campus. That's another plus.
