University Library Announces Extended Weekend Hours

M: Did you see the email about the library? I'm really excited about the extended weekend hours. W: Actually, I'm not thrilled. I think it's a waste of resources. M: How can you say that? As a night owl, I always struggle to find a quiet place to study on Sundays. Plus, the library is the only place with reliable internet for online research. W: But think about the staff. They'll have to work overtime, and the budget could be better spent on new books. Also, most students I know go home on weekends. M: That may be true, but for those of us who stay, it's a huge help. And the library can hire part-time student workers to cover shifts, which creates jobs. W: I guess that's a point, but I still think the demand isn't high enough. M: Well, I disagree. I've seen many students turned away on Sunday evenings.
