Additionally, the library will open a new quiet study zone on the third floor, equipped with additional desks and individual study carrels. This zone will be accessible to all students with a valid ID.

M: Did you see the library announcement about extended hours and the new quiet study zone? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. The 24/7 hours sound nice, but I worry about the noise. If the library is open all night, more students might come to socialize or take breaks, making it harder to concentrate. M: But that's why they're adding the quiet study zone on the third floor. It will be separate from the main areas, so those who really need silence can go there. W: True, but I've heard that the third floor is already crowded, and adding more desks might not be enough. Also, I think the extended hours will increase the cost of utilities, which could lead to budget cuts elsewhere, like in new books or technology. M: I see your point, but I still think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Many students, including me, have part-time jobs and can only study late at night. The quiet zone will give us a dedicated space, and the library is already spending money on this, so they must have planned for the costs. W: Well, I hope you're right.
