Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added to reduce noise. Students must use their ID cards to access the library after midnight for security purposes.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library? I'm really excited about the 24/7 hours during finals. Last semester, I had to leave at midnight when I was in the middle of reviewing for my biology exam. Now I can stay as long as I need. Woman: True, but the ID card rule after midnight is a hassle. I often forget my card in my dorm, and if I want to study late, I'd have to go all the way back to get it. Man: That's a small price for safety. And the new quiet floor is great—last year, the group study areas were so noisy, I couldn't concentrate. I think these changes will really help students like us. Woman: I suppose, but I still think the ID rule is inconvenient. Maybe they could just use a fingerprint scan instead.
