TOEFL 말하기 Task 2

Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week. To accommodate this, the library will close for maintenance for two days before finals begin. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the fourth floor to reduce noise distractions.

Woman: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea, but the maintenance closure is a real problem. Man: Really? I actually think the 24/7 hours are unnecessary. Most students don't stay past midnight anyway. Woman: But many of us do, especially for group projects. And the quiet floor is perfect for me—I can't concentrate with all the chatting downstairs. Man: I guess, but closing for two days right before finals is terrible. That's when I need to access all the reference books and printers. Without the library, I'd have nowhere to go. Woman: True, but they'll probably extend hours other days to make up for it. And the quiet floor will make studying more efficient, so we might need less time overall. Man: Maybe, but I still think they should do maintenance after finals, not before.
