Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week. Starting next Monday, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 until the end of finals week. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study spaces during the busy exam period. Additionally, the library will offer free coffee and snacks in the main lobby from 10 PM to 2 AM each night. The extended hours will be in effect for two weeks only.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. I always have trouble finding a quiet place to study late at night in my dorm. Now I can go to the library whenever I want. W: I see your point, but I'm not so sure. I mean, staying open 24/7 might just encourage more all-nighters, which could hurt students' health. Plus, the free coffee might make it worse, keeping people even more awake. M: Well, I think that's a personal choice. For me, having the library open means I can study when I'm most productive, without worrying about being kicked out at midnight. And the coffee is a nice perk—it saves me money instead of buying expensive coffee at the campus café. W: But don't you think the extra cost for staffing and utilities could be better spent on other resources, like more books or updated computers? The library already has limited hours on weekends. M: Actually, I heard they're using student volunteers for part of the late-night shifts, so the cost isn't that high.
