The university has announced that, starting next semester, the campus library will extend its hours to 24/7 during finals week. The administration believes this change will help students prepare for exams more effectively, reduce stress, and make better use of campus resources. The library will also add a new quiet study zone on the third floor, equipped with additional desks and power outlets.

Man: Did you see the email about the library being open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea! I always struggle to find a quiet place to study late at night, especially when my roommates are noisy. Having the library open around the clock means I can focus without distractions. Also, the new quiet study zone on the third floor is perfect—I hate it when people whisper or shuffle papers near me. It'll really help my concentration. Woman: I see your point, but I'm not so sure. I mean, staying up all night isn't healthy, and it might just encourage students to procrastinate even more. Plus, I've heard that the library staff are already overworked, and extending hours will only add to their burden. Man: That's true, but for those of us who work better at night, it's a lifesaver. And the extra staff can be hired with the funds from the new student fees. Woman: Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. Still, I worry about safety walking across campus at 3 a.m. Man: They'll have more campus security patrols during finals, so that shouldn't be an issue.
