TOEFL Устная речь Task 2

Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week Starting next Monday, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 through the end of finals week. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study spaces during the busiest time of the semester. Additional security staff will be on duty overnight to ensure safety. The extended hours will be in effect from 8:00 AM Monday until 10:00 PM on the last day of finals.

M: Did you see the email about the library being open all night during finals? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, who's going to use it at 3 AM? Most students prefer to study in the afternoon or evening. M: But many students have different schedules—some work part-time during the day and can only study late at night. Plus, the dorms can get really noisy, so having a quiet place at any hour is helpful. W: That's true, but I'm worried about the cost. Hiring extra security staff must be expensive. Maybe that money could be spent on more books or better computers instead. M: I see your point, but I think the safety and flexibility are worth it. It shows the university cares about student needs during stressful times.
