Campus Parking Policy Change: Beginning next semester, all students must purchase a parking permit to park on campus. The fee will be $200 per semester. This change aims to reduce the number of cars on campus and encourage the use of public transportation. Funds from the permits will be used to improve campus shuttle services and add more bike racks.

M: Did you see the email about the new parking permit policy? I think it's a terrible idea. W: Really? I thought it was reasonable. The shuttle service could really use improvement. M: But $200 a semester is way too expensive for students. I can't afford that on my part-time job. Plus, the shuttle only runs every 30 minutes and stops at 6 PM. That doesn't help me when I have evening classes. W: I see your point about the cost, but they said they'd improve the shuttle. Maybe they'll add more buses. M: Even if they do, I need my car to get to my off-campus internship during the day. Improving bike racks doesn't help me either. This policy just makes it harder for commuters like me.
