The university will be implementing a new policy starting next semester: all students living in on-campus dormitories will be required to purchase a meal plan. The plan includes 10 meals per week at the campus dining hall. This change aims to promote healthier eating habits and increase campus community engagement. Students who already have kitchen access in their dorms can apply for an exemption.

Man: Did you see the email about the new meal plan requirement? I can't believe they're forcing us to buy it. Woman: I know, but I think it's a good idea. It'll make sure we actually eat regular meals instead of just grabbing snacks. Man: But I cook for myself sometimes, and it's way cheaper than buying a meal plan. Plus, the dining hall food is repetitive. Woman: True, but you can apply for an exemption since you have a kitchen. And the community aspect is nice—you'd eat with friends more often. Man: Still, it feels like a money grab. And 10 meals a week is more than I need. Woman: I get that, but it's also a way to try new foods and not skip meals. I think it's worth it for the convenience.
