M: Did you see the email about the new online housing portal? I think it’s a great idea. W: Really? I’m not so sure. It might make things simpler, but the first-come, first-served part worries me. What about students who have special needs or prefer a specific room type? M: That’s true, but the system will let you select preferences, like quiet floors or accessibility rooms. And since it’s all in one place, you can compare options instantly. Also, the real-time updates mean you won’t waste time applying to places that are already full. W: But what if the portal crashes on the first day? Last year, the old system had issues. M: They said they’ve tested it thoroughly. Plus, there’s a support hotline. I think it’s more efficient overall. And it’s fairer because everyone sees the same info at the same time. W: I suppose you have a point. Still, I’m worried about the rush for popular apartments.
