TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week Starting Monday, December 10th, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 through the end of finals week. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study spaces during the exam period. Additionally, the library will open a new quiet study zone on the third floor, reserved exclusively for graduate students. The extended hours will be in effect until December 20th.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's great that they're keeping it open all night. I always study better late at night, and during finals, I really need that extra time. W: Yeah, the extended hours are helpful for many students. But I'm a bit concerned about the new quiet study zone for graduate students. It takes away a big part of the third floor, and that's one of the most popular areas for undergraduates. We already have limited spaces during finals. M: I see your point, but the announcement says it's only for graduate students. Don't you think it's fair? They have more research work and need a quiet place. W: I'm not against having a quiet zone, but reserving it exclusively for grads seems unfair. I've seen many undergrads struggling to find seats in the main areas. The library should have made it open to everyone or found another location. M: Hmm, I didn't think about that. But I still support the extended hours. The quiet zone is just a small part. Overall, it's a positive change.
