Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its operating hours from 10 PM to midnight on weekdays. To accommodate this change, the library will reduce its weekend hours from 10 AM-10 PM to 1 PM-8 PM. The administration believes this adjustment will better serve students' late-night study needs during the week while maintaining a balanced schedule for staff.

Student 1: Did you see the library announcement? They're keeping the library open until midnight on weekdays but cutting weekend hours. I think it's a terrible idea. Student 2: Really? I thought it would help those who cram before exams on weekdays. Student 1: But most students, including me, do their major assignments and group projects on weekends. Saturday afternoons are prime time for research and writing. Now we'll lose four hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Student 2: I see your point. But the extra weekday hours might help commuters like me who can't stay late on weekends. Student 1: Still, the library is already crowded on weekend afternoons. Cutting those hours will make it even harder to find a seat. Plus, many students work part-time on weekdays, so they only have weekends to study. The change just doesn't reflect our real needs.
