Man: Did you see the email about the mandatory meal plan? I can't believe they're forcing us to pay for it. Woman: I know, right? It's such a waste of money. I rarely eat at the dining hall because I prefer cooking at my apartment. Man: Exactly! And $2,500 is a lot. Plus, 10 meals a week is way more than I need. I usually only eat there twice a week. Woman: Yeah, and it's not like the food is that healthy anyway. They serve fried stuff every day. So the 'healthier eating' excuse doesn't hold up. Man: And what about community? I already have my own study group and friends. Forcing us to eat together won't create community—it'll just create resentment. Woman: Totally. They should make it optional, not mandatory.
