📖 Reading Passage

Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend the library's operating hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the third level, accessible only to graduate students. The administration believes this change will better accommodate student needs during high-stress periods.

🎧 Listening Conversation

M: Did you see the email about the library changes? I think it's a great idea, especially the 24/7 hours during finals. I always end up pulling all-nighters, and having a quiet place to study would help a lot. W: True, but I'm worried about the graduate-only floor. It might create unfair access. I mean, undergrads also need quiet spaces, and the current quiet areas are often packed. M: I see your point, but they said the grad floor is to ensure advanced research isn't disturbed. Still, I support the extended hours because it gives everyone more flexibility. As for the grad floor, I think it's unnecessary and divisive. W: Exactly. I'd rather they open more quiet zones for all students, not just grads. But the extended hours are a win, so I'm mostly supportive.
❓ Question The man expresses his opinion about the announcement. State his opinion and explain the reasons he gives.
