TOEFL Устная речь Task 2

Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting Next Month, the university library will extend its hours from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays during finals week. This change aims to provide students with more study space during high-stress periods. Additionally, the library will add a new quiet study floor on the third level, accessible only during extended hours, to accommodate students who prefer a distraction-free environment.

M: Did you see the announcement about extended library hours? I think it's a great idea. Finals week is brutal, and I always struggle to find a quiet spot to study late at night. W: I agree, but I'm not sure it will actually help many students. Most of us are already overwhelmed, and staying until 2 a.m. might just make us more exhausted. M: That's true, but the new quiet floor is a game-changer. I always get distracted by people chatting in the main areas. Having a dedicated silent zone would really boost my focus. W: I see your point, but I think the real issue is that the library already has enough space; it's just not well managed. They could enforce quiet rules better instead of adding more hours. M: Well, I still think more hours give flexibility for night owls like me. And the quiet floor shows they're listening to student needs. W: Maybe you're right, but I'd rather they invest in better lighting and more outlets in existing study areas.
