Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting Next Month. The university library will extend its operating hours from 10 PM to midnight on weekdays, beginning November 1st. This change aims to accommodate students during final exam preparation. Additionally, the library will add a new quiet study area on the third floor, which will be open during the extended hours. Students are encouraged to use the extended time for research and study.

Student 1: Did you hear about the library announcement? I think it's a great idea. Student 2: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, studying until midnight sounds good in theory, but I worry about safety. Walking back to the dorms that late can be risky, especially in winter. Student 1: That's a fair point, but the university is also increasing campus security patrols during those hours. Plus, they're adding a quiet study area, which is perfect for me. I get distracted at home, so having a dedicated quiet space helps me focus. Student 2: I see your point about the quiet area, but I still think most students won't use the extra hours. Many have early classes, so they'd rather sleep than stay up late. Student 1: Actually, from my experience, a lot of students are night owls, especially during finals. I know I'll definitely use it, and so will my friends. Student 2: Well, I hope you're right. I just hope they consider the safety aspect more.
