Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 2 AM on weekdays and open 24 hours during finals week. To accommodate this change, the library will reduce the number of study rooms available for group reservation, as some spaces will be converted into quiet study areas. Additionally, all students will need to use their ID cards to enter the library after 10 PM for security purposes.

W: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea. M: Really? I'm not so sure. The extended hours sound nice, but reducing group study rooms is a problem. My study group meets there three times a week, and it's already hard to book a room. Fewer rooms will make it worse. W: I get that, but the new quiet areas will help people who need to focus, and the 24-hour finals week is a lifesaver. Plus, the ID requirement after 10 PM makes sense for safety. M: Safety is fine, but what about those of us who rely on group discussions? We can't just sit in a quiet zone. And 2 AM is overkill—most students leave by midnight. They could have kept the group rooms and just extended hours on weekends. W: I still think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. More late-night access helps everyone, and the ID rule is just a minor inconvenience. M: Well, I disagree. The announcement seems to favor solo studiers, not group learners. It's not fair.
