Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week. To better support students during final examinations, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 from December 10 to December 20. Additionally, a new quiet study zone will be opened on the third floor, equipped with extra desks and power outlets. These changes aim to provide a more conducive environment for intensive study.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's great. W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, 24/7 hours sound nice, but the quiet zone on the third floor is a problem for me. M: Why? More quiet space is usually a good thing. W: But remember, my study group always uses the third floor for our group projects. We need to discuss and collaborate. Now that it's a quiet zone, we'll have to find another place, and there aren't many options during finals. M: Oh, I see. But you can still use other floors for group work, right? W: Not really. The other floors are already crowded, and with extended hours, they'll be even more packed. Also, the quiet zone means we can't even have a quick chat without being shushed. It's just inconvenient for us. M: Hmm, I didn't think about that. But I still think the extra hours help those who study late at night. W: Sure, but for me, the quiet zone actually reduces our available space. So I'm not entirely happy with it.
