Campus Fitness Center Expansion Announcement Starting next semester, the university fitness center will undergo a major expansion, adding a new weightlifting area and an indoor track. To accommodate construction, the center will close for two months during the summer break. Additionally, student fees will increase by $25 per semester to fund the project. The university believes this expansion will improve student health and fitness opportunities.

Student 1 (Sarah): Did you see the announcement about the fitness center expansion? I'm really excited about it! Student 2 (Mike): Excited? I think it's a terrible idea. Closing for two months in the summer is so inconvenient. I use the gym every day to train for my marathon. Sarah: But think about the benefits! A new track will be perfect for your training, and the extra weight room means less crowding during peak hours. Mike: I guess, but the fee increase is unfair. I'm already paying for other campus services, and $25 adds up. Many students barely use the gym. Sarah: That's true, but the expanded facility will attract more students, and it's a long-term investment in our health. Plus, they could use the summer to get fit outdoors instead. Mike: Still, I think they should have found funding without raising fees or closing during summer. It's a hassle for current students like us.
