Instead of jumping out of the water, which would be risky and energy-costly, the archerfish has developed a unique hunting technique. It shoots a precise jet of water from its mouth to knock an insect into the water, then quickly eats it. This behavior is not something the fish learns from its parents; it's an innate skill.
